Tangy Citrus Dressing

Avocados are a good source of healthy fat

Avocados are a good source of healthy fat and this vinaigrette-type dressing takes advantage of that by using avocado oil as a base. And at about 2 grams of carbs it’s a good fit for any low-carb diet.

Tangy Citrus Dressing

(serves )

Ingredients:

  • 2 T avocado oil
  • 1 T lemon juice
  • 2 T orange juice
  • 1 T orange zest (grated orange peel)
  • ½ honey
  • ¼ t black pepper
  • ¼ t salt

To make:

Combine all ingredients in the mixing bowl and whisk together. Will keep for up to a month in the refrigerator; shake well to mix before using. Avocado oil may solidify while in the refrigerator. If this happens, simply bring dressing to room temperature and shake well.
