Fresh pomegranates might only be in season during the winter, but pomegranate juice is available year round. Just check the label to make sure what you're getting is pure pomegranate juice and not a mix of other juices with only a drop of pomegranate.

As with most salad dressings, watch your portion size when serving this fruity vinaigrette. The oil makes it rather high-calorie (although it’s healthy fat), and a serving is about 2 tablespoons.
Honey-Pomegranate Vinaigrette
(serves 4)
Ingredients:
4 t grapeseed oil
1 T honey
1/4 C pomegranate juice
2 T balsamic vinegar
1 t Dijon mustard
To make:
Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and whisk together so that mustard and honey are thoroughly incorporated. (Hint: make a double batch and store, refrigerated, for up to 2 weeks.)
This is not quite the same recipe as the one found in the DWD Blueprint recipe books. The recipes in the DWD recipe books have been “slimmed down” so that they’ll fit into a 700-calorie-per-day diet, and using this version while you’re on the DWD diet could push your calorie count far out of range. If you’re currently using the DWD system, please use the recipes included with the program.
